Tris’ Thoughts is an extension of the Zonac Writers company. Here, I share my thoughts on writing topics, such as here, where I discuss the integration of mundanity in supernatural settings.
In my Beyond Continuity series, I analyze, deconstruct, and reinterpret stories and/or characters, such as in this example.
I’m also stretching my creative muscles with a video game concept called “Project: After-War” (name-pending). This action-puzzle game centers on a lone veteran who comes to pay respects to his fallen comrades on a moon cemetery, only to find unnatural and unethical activity pulling him into a greater story. You can find the first post here.
You can read my latest blog post here! Today, I have an entry in my Proof of Concept series about dragons in the modern day and how they’d be used in the coffee industry.

I Will Take Care of You is a children’s story about a lonely duck maiden longing for children but can’t seem to find a mate. This maternal tale of compassion and integrity was the co-written brainchild of my mother, Cathie Park, and illustrated by the infinitely talented and late Caleb Merrick.

Christelan Chronicles: Outcast Community is the first in a fantasy series. This tale follows the city-village of Mrenshir as its mundanity is overturned by the arrival of an exotic foreigner. Unknown to the village or the foreigner, an ancient threat emerges from the far-off distance of the land. And just outside Mrenshir, in the imposing Vare Woods, a once-thought immortal beast has mysteriously perished.

“Spancil is.”
Christelan Chronicles: Ritual is the second entry in the Christelan series. This psychologically intense story follows Avilastor Lestrolt, a community leader to the land of Spancil. In the aftermath of his people’s traditional burial ceremony, he and his fellow leaders are plagued by horrific visions. Once-docile livestock become hostile, people go missing, and the very land itself turns on the community as the people turn to bewildered leaders for answers. This story will cover matters of faith, principles, bravery, and ambition.
